WHEN TO GO?
WHEN TO GO?
France has nice different seasons bringing a variety of activities to enjoy all year round. That being said, school holidays have a considerable influence on the calendar. During this time, places to visit get crowded and prices go up.
We suggest that whenever possible, you try the shoulder seasons to enjoy best weather and prices.

HOTELS
Below are my favorite options to make a French vacation really unique and distinctive! But you prefer the convenience and amenities of a large hotel chain? Or you would rather have a mix of accommodation options? No worries, we can arrange whatever you like.
Palaces
5 Star Palaces are a well-known tradition in Western Europe. It’s a unique opportunity to stay in an exceptional estate and enjoy the pleasure of being in a historical place, combined with the most excellent service!
Usually starts around 1000 Euros for a shared room per night.
Luxury Boutique Hotels
France has an incredible number of less-known 3 and 4 stars properties, smaller and more luxurious than regular hotels. Incredible breakfast, pool with a view, personalized service and tasteful decoration, you’ll be dazzled and amazed.
Usually around 150 to 300 Euros for a shared room per night.
B&B’s
France B&B’s range from home stay and farm stays to restored mansions and manors in the countryside. Often underestimated, they offer a terrific value for money and the guaranty of a warm welcome by locals who love to receive guests.
Ranges from 50 to 80 Euros for a shared room per night.
RESTAURANTS
Michelin-starred Restaurants
A good idea is to reserve a table for lunch. Lunch set menus are usually way more affordable, for the same gastronomy, and with more tables are available. Restaurants outside of Paris also tend to be cheaper for the same stars rating.
Allow 80-100 Eur for a 1-star dinner, around 150 Eur in a 2-stars and up to 400 Euros in one of the 27 French 3-stars restaurants.
Good Neighborhood Restaurants
Good tables in France are typically around 40 to 60 Euros per person for dinner. They offer all types of food from traditional French cooking to more innovative, avant-garde gastronomical experience!
Street Food
You will find affordable, on-the-go restaurants almost everywhere. A typical Brasserie costs about 20-30 Euros per person for a meal, while the snacks, salads and sandwiches places can be around 12-15 Euros.
ACTIVITIES
Half Day Activities
Most half day activities (wine-tasting, private tour, classes, biking excursion etc) cost about 50 to 60 Euros per person. Additional costs may add up if you need a specific language other than English.
Luxury Activities
Luxury activities like hot air balloon or helicopter ride usually account around 150 Eur per person.
