Do you also arrange travel plans for groups?
My Next Memory typically arranges private travels for groups from 2 to 8 people. Beyond that number, it is a different logistic we are not specialized in. Also we believe a travel experience is more fun and memorable when it’s private!
Do you organize last minute trips?
We typically like to secure your itinerary and bookings at least 1 month before your arrival. We apply this policy in your best interest: the best hotels, restaurants or activities get sold fast at some times of the year and it would be disappointing that we don’t manage to find availabilities in such exquisite places for you. But again, this is an indicative deadline. Feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to answer your travel need!
How do I pay for your service fee?
Our service fee is fixed and its level depends on what you have chosen (LOCAL ADVICE, READY TO GO or AT YOUR SERVICE).
In any case, this service fee is entirely payable before departure and non-refundable as it accounts for the time we spend in preparing your travel plan. You may pay online via Visa, MasterCard, Paypal or Alipay using the QR code we’ll send you.
Do you provide invoice?
Of course we do provide a French invoice for our fixed fee Service Package. And we can also assist you in obtaining invoices from the hotels and other activities during the trip shall you need them.
What is included exactly in your Service Package?
My Next Memory is a travel planner.
The first feedback we give to you with the outline proposal of travel plan is done for FREE. Then you choose a Service Package.
Our Service Packages reflect our travel planning service but they do NOT include the price of hotels, domestic transport, activities, your personal shopping etc. However, all the prices of your travel will be quoted and sent to you separately, so you can know exactly how much it is going to cost you.
Am I expected to tip in France?
In France, tips and service are included in all the prices. That being said, tipping in restaurants is customary and on a voluntary basis: only if you really enjoyed the service! Generally speaking, a tip of 5 to 10 percent is normal; however note that in fine restaurants, you’re expected to tip in bank notes.
Do I need to prepare for my Visa?
Yes, you need to prepare for your own visa. Schengen Visa application has been simplified and you may start applying 3 months before your travel dates at one of those centers. We can also recommend agencies to take care of your visa applications.
How about travel insurance?
Travel insurance is not included in our services, but we recommend you select one covering for any potential medical expense when abroad or lost item / theft. Let us know if you need assistance finding one.
How do you secure my reservations?
My Next Memory will handle all your reservations depending on the Service Grade you have chosen.
LOCAL ADVICE: We do not do reservations for you. We provide you a detailed travel plan but you choose to book it or not using traditional booking platforms.
READY TO GO and AT YOUR SERVICE: My Next Memory uses professional travel agency booking systems to secure the reservation under your name. You receive your booking confirmation together with your detailed travel plan before departure.
We are transparent with you and will let you know whenever a down payment is required (some hotels may ask deposits to secure the booking). Cancellation policies applicable will be the ones of the selected hotels or activities. My Next Memory does not add any additional fee on the reservation or the cancellation.
What happens if I change my mind before the trip?
The Service Fee paid to My Next Memory for the design of your travel itinerary is not refundable as it reflects the time and effort we have put in researching all the best places, hotels and activities for you.
Any reservation change before the trip is subject to the change policies and fees applied by the hotels or restaurants themselves that may have already been booked for you as part of your travel plans.
What happens if I change my mind during the trip?
You are free to adjust your trip if you wish.
READY TO GO service grade: the reservations have been made under your name. You have to make your changes by yourself and follow the provider’s change and cancellation policy.
AT YOUR SERVICE: we help you make the new arrangements, including during the trip. We will strive to obtain the best conditions but providers change and cancellation policies may still apply.
